Automatically downloading apps

Love the N5, but it keeps automatically downloading apps I have on other devices. How can I stop this? I see settings in Play Store to stop auto update , but nothing that looks relevant to this

Go to the Play store and click on Settings. In the General section there is an option that says Auto-update apps. Click this and change to Do not auto-update apps.

Thanks - I did change the "auto-update" setting to no last night - but ninstall finger is getting callouses.
