Automatically Linking Facebook contacts with Google Contacts

I have all my contacts saved to my google account. They are sync'd to my phone, and so when I go to contacts all my contacts are there with the [G] symbol next to them.

Now when I add a facebook account, I have the option to add all friends, or add select friends (which then forces me to select the ones I want, or choose to select individual name or select all names. It does not automatically select the ones already in my contacts). So I click select all and delete the ones in my contacts that aren't already on my phone

Now I have duplicate contacts in my contacts and I have to manually link them all. So I will have:

"John Doe [G]" (google account)
"John Doe [F]" (facebook account)

then I have to click link contacts and join them together

They all have the same exact name.

I would think there would be a way to:
1) only import the facebook friends already on your phone and
2) when they are imported, automatically link them with the contacts with the same or similar names.

Is there a way to do this and I'm missing it? I'm running cognition 3.02 but had same issue with Cognition 2.3b8 and the stock 2.1. Thanks
