AutoWifi connecter?

I don't get it.

The phone does that automatically if you switch Wifi on.

Please elaborate and we might be able to help :)
 
I thought that's what you were after?

Do you mean something that switches wifi on when you're around a network?
The problem is that in order to see the network, wifi must be on.

The closest you'll get is probably using Tasker, check one of the many tasker threads. However, if you decide to ask a question in there please provide a detailed query :)

Uh, my phone doesn't automatically connect to open networks unless I've already manually connected, and it shouldn't.. That would be really really dumb from a security standpoint.
 
Yep, I misunderstood the question.

It will connect automatically if the network is remembered, if wifi is on you can only set it to notify you of open networks but not connect automatically.
