So first a question, I'm well aware to take full advantage of Link2SD I need to upgrade my SD card. From what I've read the default 1GB isn't enough. I'm also aware that once I purchase a new MicroSD card I'll have to format it into two partitions. So onto the first question, Am I required to have a MicroSD card reader, Or can the formatting be done via turning on USB Mass Storage and then using a Partition tool?

Second question, Any recommendations on a MicroSD card? I know a class 10 would be the best option, and I'd also like a 32GB. However, I'm not sure of what all requirements the MicroSD card needs for the Merit. So.. Any links to trusted online orders of a 32GB, MicroSD?

I just formatted mine this morning using Easeus partition tool via usb. Seems to have worked ok. Not sure what requirements you might be questioning in your second paragraph, but mine is a class 4 (never knew about classes til yesterday), 32 gb I picked up on sale from newegg. Again, seems to be working fine...

Edit: I do all my electronic shopping from newegg, their prices and customer service are the best imo.

Lemme know how this works out for you; like I said, I partitioned my card this morning and I think I've got Link2SD set up correctly but as I'm uninstalling and then reinstalling apps in the effort to put them completely on the sd card, it's still downloading to the phone first (I thought Link2SD forces installs directly to sd?) and then leaving fragments when the apps are moved.

Link2sd has to be set up in the app settings to put apps where you want them. When they are linked, it downloads to the phone and then gets linked to SD. There is always some data that is still in the phone though. As far as cards, I use a 16 GB class 10, but, it isn't really necessary. I also use SD Booster set to 1024. Dl's are much faster.

Yeah I really thought about it and the more I pondered I realized I'd probably never fill that 32GB MicroSD card. I chose to order a 16GB class 10 from newegg.com, Now for the waiting game of it arriving.

I put a pre-partioned 32GB class 10 card in with a 2GB ext2 partition that I used windows mini partition tool to create. However, I was unable to get a full nandroid backup with CWM with that set-up. after messing around with it for awhile, I removed the card, reformatted and inserted the newly-"blank" card back in the phone and used CWM to create the partition. I now get full nandroid backups.

Link2SD is a pretty amazing app.

Yep, loving it now that I've got it working. I'm back to all the apps I used to have (minus one or two that my new launcher has built in) and then some, and still have 96 mb free. So awesome.
