Good luck. I've had my days with The and know not to trust them or any of their devices. I've had hands on experiences with some devices close to the specs of this device and I can tell you that it was just not satisfying enough to keep. Idk maybe they changed but I wouldn't and will never know cause I'll never buy another device from them again.
I am about the same....I had both a warp and the sequent, and both phones were utterly disappointing as far as what the phone was suppose to compare to....namely when you loaded it up.
The phone is really sweet IF, and I say IF because it's a major issue with ZTE it seems, but IF you load it up with software/apps it tend to slow down. I'd say about 1/4 full of apps it's ok, then you really notice it slowing down. Kinda pointless to have space if when you put stuff in it it starts bogging down. The phones out of the box are really sweet for the price, nothing fantastic but still sweet none the less.
Where I have the issue with them is as I said, putting apps/music pretty much anything that you load it up with it starts showing it's faulty design. I'm not sure if it's OS related or just the Hardware or both, but I do know, coming from 2 zte lines, and seeing a video by phonescoop on youtube, they said the EXACT same thing, once they loaded it up some it started showing how badly it handled it.
I will lean to the OS as it runs fine coming out of the box.
The exact same apps/music and such on the samsung s2 and the s3 it handles fine, and we're not talking an outrageous amount of aps either. In all I have perhaps between music and apps and such around 2gb - 3gb, I may have maxed it at 4GB, but nothing more than 4gb for sure......that's not a lot really, and any phone with the specs the zte phones have should STILL handle it fine, especially since a big part of the storage is music, and not apps and that just sits there until used. Where I see the issue is when you put stuff on it, ie: the storage gets filled up, then it tends to just bog down. I personally would not even fill the phone 1/2 full simply because of this issue.
That is 2 ZTE phones and 2 burns, and so I will hold reserve, but from what I've seen so far and confirmed from at least one video review I say, zte still has this same exact issue, only now with a bigger screen.
If your going to run light on apps and/or music and such (and I do mean light), I'd say you should be ok, but don't expect much once you load it down even the slightest little bit.
Just putting this out there, so do some reviewing and research before you buy this phone.......bigger isn't always better, especially in the case of it being zte. Am I a ZTE hater, no, of course not....I've only had 2 phones total from zte, but 2 out of 2 in my book is NOT a good thing, especially when the sequent was suppose to be the so called "new and improved" warp and how they hyped it up to be so, that's what sold me on the sequent, just goes to show you can't always believe what you see or read at times.
Example of this is I think it's the sequent, perhaps both........but on paper it has the exact same specs as the htc evo....that's why I was happy because I got htc evo specs at a cheaper price.....well on paper this all looks good, but something went really bad, as I said the software or hardware, I still can't seem to track it down as I have the original warp still.....but on paper it all looks GREAT, but in reality it just flops.
