My bad. I forgot I have an xposed mod that adds that option in network settings. Without it you have to dial: *#2263#

It will. I've used it many times with all of the firmwares and it works fine. Note that after you type the code into the dialer it may not do anything for a while. Just wait or type it in more

The only way to update your baseband is with Odin. The avant won't allow the baseband to be updated unless your device status says official.
Yea i don't have access to a computer but i used the hack feature in wanam and made it official and got the ota update to error thing stop and it downloaded this time but failed so i unrooted and put the stock recovery back on it got to about 26% and failed. I rerooted with kingroot and used a app called supersu me to take off all that kingroot stuff and install supersu again. Back at square one
