Root AWE brick?

min68

Newbie
My ZTE AWE was working well for almost one year, last recovery was TWRP-2.8.0.0.
Today it suddenly no boot.
1) hold vol down + Power it enters fastboot --> this suppose to enter recovery.
2) hold vol up+power it enters FTM
3) if hold power to turn on, it stuck at a mess screen with lines

In fastboot, I can use [fastboot boot cwm.img] to enter CWM, I tried to clear everything in CWM, reinstall .zip ROM, but same no boot.
Then I tried to flash CWM and TWRP recovery zip file , in both cases it took about 5 min then said flash finished, but holding vol down + power I got same as 1), still enter fastboot.
Does this mean my recovery is broken ? or even recovery partition is bad so I can not flash recovery at all?
is [fastboot boot cwm.img] actually loading cwm.img in RAM?
What is next step to unbrick it?

So it just stopped working today? Did you do anything? Have to tried the unbrick method?

I didn;t do anything special before it bricks. After that I tried fastboot, flash ROM zip and recovery zip.
Now, I can enter flashboot and FTM, can load/enter (but not flash) CWM.
What else I can try?

Doesn't help.

Contacted ZTE because this phone still has 2 weeks remain in warranty.
They can do RMA but need I pay shipping, and register my personal information. Considering bought it $20 last year black Friday, maybe not worth.

What message is the recovery (in fast boot) spitting out to you when you try to install a Rom?
It just said successfully.. I guess the message is from script in zip file.
However it seemed take longer when flash cwm.zip (8MB or so) than flashing ROM.zip (300+MB).
Is there any way to flash from FTM?

update: I flashed stock update.zip which includes recovery and ROM, it boots. Then flashed customer recovery also OK. But failed to flash any customer ROM. Is it possible my bootloader got re-locked again? I 100% sure used customer ROM before.

how do i unlock the bootloader for a awe ive looked and high and low for this answer and still nothing. Hopefully one of yall can help me out???

Yes it's 07. Now I am pretty sure it has some flash blocks are broken. I just gave up.
Round the forums somewhere is the B04 update. Thats the OG rom that the phone shipped with. Give that a flash and youll be able to root (B07 has no root currently). I would try to sideload it, maybe your recovery got corrupt (its happened). This will restore the recovery as well. Then use Rashr in the Play Store to flash TWRP recovery (extract the recovery.img from the zip) then you SHOULD hopefully be back up and running and able to flash CM11 (my personal suggestion)
I bricked my g/fs Awe before and this got me back in business. Good luck.
