awesome drop.....=awesome

Would this replace/ augment the mounting function? If so, I can't wait to get home and try it out.

I haven't used it extensively, but it seems to be a good replacement to mounting the SD storage for lesser amounts of data. I don't know that I'd use it for very large files or a large number of files. It's definitely worth taking a look at though.

I've used it as well and never had any issues with it once I figured out that it requires a newer version of firefox than I had installed.

It works great and seems to be about as fast as a bluetooth transfer depending on my signal strength.

i uploaded transformer 2 in a couple mins...pretty easy....slick too since now u can use3g or 4g.....

I can't find this in the Market, is there perhaps a limitation with screen resolution - I have an HTC Wildfire?

Yup, great app. I even did this; I was at work and wanted a file that was on my PC at home. I used PhonemyPC to take control of my desktop at home, then loaded up Awesome Drop's webpage on my home PC and dragged the file I needed to the drop spot and bingo! The file was on my phone.....

PhonemyPC is REALLY buggy.... hardly works 75% of the time with Win 7.... >.>

Anyways; dude. Damn. I love this. Who made this??

Okay so what folder do your files end up in on your SD card.

I only see the file in the awesome drop app.

EDIT: nevermind I found it, it's in the /drop folder

Nice App

I second the motion on Wifi Explorer too... Just started using it a few days ago and it is very handy.

cheers

Yeah, so I just used it to move an album from my PC to my Droid. As mentioned before, it's not nearly as fast as USB. That being said, being able to drag the entire album into that little green box and walk away makes that a trade off I'll make 10 times out of 10. Great app!

Very true! With USB, you have to wait for the transfer to finish. With this you start it and can even carry the phone around.
