Help Back of Galaxy S screeches in silicone casing

Hey

First thing to say... Thumbs up! Been on that forum for quite some time now and I never found any unsolved issues i've had with my phone :)

But, this is not a critical thing, I have delt with it for quite some time now and also browsed alot of the internet... back cover of my phone screeches every time i hold it at sides (almost all the time). And regarding, that i have spet quite some money on this otherwise brilliant phone, It gives me a "cheap phone" feeling. Its really bad when the phone is in silicone casing.

Now, i don't want to go and be an hardass to Vodafone employees if this is just the way phone was build (I hope not...)

Has anyone had this kind of issue or is it just me? :)

Yeah the plastic cover scratches way too easily. Almost as bad as the original iPods' aluminium back cover. Afraid that there isn't much you can really do about it though. You can try to remove the scratches by polishing it using toothpaste, but you will probably gather new scratches soon enough.

Thanks for the reply. But umm it screeches (I'm not from USA or UK so i dont actually know the word (google translate also sucks), but i was going for sth that rubs against each other and makes a irritating noise). I think that the back plastic battery cover doesn't completely fit the sockets in phone and that makes it "screech" every time i hold it more firmly. :)

Is there an aftermarket piece that i could find somewhere and doesn't "screech" :D

Opps. I misread the first post. I thought it was a typo.

Personally I haven't encountered a situation like that, and I have tried a few cases. Could be just that the case you got has a few problems. I posted a few links to accessories site in the guide sticky thread. Take a look.
