Back up apps

Can anyone recommend the best back up app for my new Droid phone?

Some apps backup user data on the SD card. But to backup the entire app you need to be rooted. Rooted users can use Titanium Backup to backup apps.

Astro file viewer has a nice and easy backup feature. Saves .APK files to the SD card even has a sort of version control. No root necessary... Been using for a long time - great app! Free or paid - well worth the few dollars.

Just remember, if you are not rooted, using ASTRO will not back up the app's data.
