Help Back up S3 with broken touch screen?

Hi, my Galaxy S3 recently broke and the LED/digitizer screen cracked, meaning the phone works but the touch screen doesn't. Basically the screen is black and the touch screen is unresponsive, but I know that the rest of the phone still works fine. I got a replacement phone, but I want to back up all the pictures, videos, contacts, etc. from my old phone.

I have tried connecting the phone to my computer but it connects as a camera which comes up as empty. I tried downloading Kies but when I try to connect it, it keeps "pending" and just never connects, probably because of a setting in my phone that I can't change because of the broken screen. I tried downloading MyPhoneExplorer and I can't connect it using any of the three ways, Wifi, Bluetooth, or USB cable, because of settings in my phone that I can't change.

Is there any other way I can back up everything from my phone without actually having to change any settings or do anything on my phone besides plug it into my computer?

If you have successfully connected your phone to the computer, there should be no reason why you cannotaccess the folders on the internal SD card (assuming that's where your pics were). Did you have an external SD?

At the very least, you should see empty folders when you connect. I always plug phone in, go to my computer, then open the drive which shows up for the phone. You should then see two options (when SD card is installed) or just the main phone folder to open and then open DCIM or camera folder (depending on how they were stored).

I've tried all that, but I think the problem is I didn't enable the USB debugging option on my phone before it broke, and I left it set to "connect as a camera," so I currently have no access to any of my files on my phone. And I didn't save it on an SD card, it's all on internal memory. Is there ANY possible way to retrieve all my data, or is that all just lost forever?

If you can not connect to the PC then they are gone UNLESS your carrier has the software to do it for you.

The only thing I can think of is either fix the screen or perhaps you could gain access from some other way like terminal emulator. However, you're getting into some hard core stuff that I certainly can't help with. xda developers site could probably give you some guidance. Lots of guys who write code for apps and do some radical things with their S III's
