back up

how do I back up all my apps, especially the notes or memo. I can e-mail my memos as an attacment to myself have no idea how to get them back if I wipe the phone or what ever its called to set it back to the day i got it. So I would like to be able to have my phone as it is today after it is reset/wiped/factory reset. i think google backs up my contacts, i would like something that does all.
BTW I have a samsung stratosphere
 
Google can supposedly back up your apps and reinstall them, although I'm not sure how reliable that is. Some file managers can backup apps, such as Astro. As far as I know, the only way to back up your data is to root and use Titanium Backup.

You might want to consider using a note app that syncs to the cloud. I like Springpad. Evernote is probably the most popular. There are others, but I can't think of them off the top of my head.
 
I use "appSaver" to back up the apk files to my SD card. (To reinstall apps, I have to select "unknown sources" from within the phones settings.) I use "colornote" for all my note taking. You can back up all notes/data to SD card and sync to the cloud.
