Even after quitting from facebook, yahoo, maps these applications keep runnning in backgound in Samsung Ace . I need to go to applications and then froce stop them.... is there a better way to manage these.

Are you sure these apps are actually running instead of being cached? This a huge difference and I explain that a bit here: Why task killers are bad for android
