Help Background Data Turned off on Galaxy S

I have a problem with a lot of my apps as when I go to use them the error they have terminated unexpectedly occurs.
When I use Yahoo etc I get a message saying background data was turned off. Its wrecking my phone life. What do I do to sort it????

Well you seems have a bad system if you do get FC on apps.
Have you tried to turn the data on? i guess you use 3G and not wifi.
