Help Background Image Changing Position

My home screen and my lock screen have the same picture. I did it through the set both.
They are at different positions in the image and it's very annoying. Why?

It is subtle, but annoying. (Open in different tabs, switch to see)

I'm not an expert on this, but the one thing I can think of is that the pic dimensions aren't quite right for your phone, causing it to shift a bit. Do you have the same issue with other wallpapers?

I looked around a bit to see if anyone else had the same issue. They did, and although it probably isn't the solution you're looking for, their workaround was this-

" Anyways, I have no found a solution, but I have found a workaround. I took the wallpaper, and offset it upwards as much as it was offset down, canceling out the effect and having the lock screen line up."

Best thing I can think to do is find or make wallpaper that has a grid or "graph paper" pattern so you can tell exactly how much to offset in Photoshop or GIMP or something, then apply the same offset to the fox image.
If you don't have the resources to do that, I can probably fiddle with it and repost it or pass along how many pixels to offset.

I tried your image on mine, and the same shifting happens.

Edit - just had a great idea, take your lockscreen screenshot and the original pic in the image editor of your choice, then reduce the opacity on one of them, then offset until they line up. Then delete the screenshot layer you didn't modify, put the opacity back up, save, and done!
At least it sounds good in theory!

I can't offset it, as I can't figure out how "off" it is, my eyes have issues with that.

I was just playing with it in Photoshop, but the pic you posted here isnt the original? Your screenshots have parts of the picture that aren't in this one, mainly the left side.

Can you post the original and I'll try fixing it?

Thanks, got it, I'll give it another shot it the morning:smokingsomb:

OK, think I got it -

the one with the taskbar at the top is for your homescreen, the other is for your lockscreen. Dont worry, the taskbar in the pic will be covered up by your actual taskbar

For future reference, the amount of bar that is showing I think is the amount you need to offset if you make any new wallpapers :)
