This may just be me, but my new 1 Mini chomped through 350mb of data in two days after I got it
Looking at 'usage' it showed the 'background data' in the Mail was responsible for almost all of it
I've now disabled background data and usage is now normal for mail , a few MB a day
I don't know what background data does or is, but if like me you are on a restricted data package, with penalties for going over, you may want to check yours!
