Help Backing up application saves

andoman

Newbie
Hi All,

Is there any application which can backup any application (for example games with their save data)

Thanks...

The only one I know about which works is Titanium Backup from the market.
However, in order to use it you need to be rooted.

I phoned samsung about this, although kies doesn`t backup your apps apparently if you have 2.2 onwards your mobile will. click auto backup off then on (auto) and its done, so they say.... haven`t tried it myself, put these details on another android forum for comments, loads of people have read but nobody has responded, perhaps luckier on this site.
hope it works for you.

There is an even better method for making a backup and that is Clockwork mod (CWM). It is included when you root your phone using the Chainfire method. You can find the correct root for your phone from [01.08.2011][CF-Root 4.1] JP*,JS*,JQ3,JV1/K/B/H/O,JVI/P/Q/R - su+bb+2e/CWM - rfs+ext4 - xda-developers

The backup and restore function is fast easy. It restores all your apps and system settings as well as home screen widgets.

@Omega1424.

I'm not sure what setting you are referring to but if it's the one under Accounts and sync > Auto-sync that doesn't back up apps, only application data.

All the best.

Not being a hard core 'techie' and not having rooted my SGS....I've used "OnTheFly Bakup" and it works quite well. It's available from the Market.
