Backing up data

I am having trouble with my samsung galaxy s2 especially with satnav. It loses signal all the time. Also the phone takes so long to process data and retrieve it or do videos etc so I was thinking would a full factory reset be in order and if so how do I do the back up without losing photos data etc. What would be best:
Titanium or
Samsung Kies

Welcome aboard , you can post your issue here http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-s2-international/ for a much faster response, as for the backing up of photos , Samsung kies would be the best choice as for titanium back up is manly for apps.
