Root backing up my current rom taking hell lotta time

hey guys i am currently backing up my current rom throuw clockwork recovery
whn i pressed ok my phone rebooted and its stuck on the micromax animation screen 5 mins have passed please help? does this procedure take time?

Remove the battery and reboot to recovery and try again ...it takes 3min to back up ..dont wipe anything before backup

No don't backup through ROM manager.
It happened to me also when I took my phone 3 months before.
Backup through recovery only..
