Help Backing up my phone

If I use the standard back up on the phone will that back up my game progress in apps in case I need to wipe out my phone and restore the back up? If not I remember reading a thread where someone mentioned a back up app but forgot what it is, think I read that here. Mary

Ahhh I found it after I posted it was Helium, will use that to make sure game stuff is backed up. Mary
