Help Backing up!!!

Whenever I try to back up my Note 10.1 using Kies when it gets to certain folders such as Videos or Music it takes hours and hours to complete just that folder. I haven't yet been able to complete a full back up as it has just taken too long and I need to use the Note 10.1. This also happens with my S3

Why does Kies take so long to do this? Is there a more efficient way to back up the Note 10.1.

Sadly for some reason Helium didn't work. It kept asking for a Note 10.1 password!!
