Help Backing up

New to this and forum.

I have a s3 and my son plays alot of games on it im upgrading to a s5 but want to factory reset the s3 (to see if it fixes wifi connection most of all) but dont want my son to 1.lose his games or 2. where hes at in those games is that possible to back up. Sorry if this has been asked.

You can always re download the games. As for game and app data/progress, unless you're rooted or the game syncs its progress online, its lost.

Thank you ill have to look into it. The games he wants are Block fortress (just looked and seems i can save character to the cloud), Bloons TD 5 and Clash of clans so will see what i can find out about them.
