Help Backlight issue

So I've had my Captivate for a week or so..and something that is super aggravating to me is that when in an app such as maps..if the backlight turns off, or if you press the home key to use another app-like gmail..whatever...-the gps turns off..so when going back to maps the device has to get another sat lock..which is an issue to begin with. Not happy with that...I thought this thing is supposed to multitask?

Mine doesn't lose it's lock. The navigation icon should be on the notification bar

Not talking about navigation..just using google maps. Navigation can stay active in the background, but not maps. Maybe there is a setting or an app that forces a background app to stay active when desired

Check out a program called Screen On in the market - could be what you're looking for.

^^^Thanks...that works well, however it doesn't cure the basic problem that if you put maps in the background, it shuts down the gps. That's quite a flaw IMO
