Recently I cracked the screen on my HTC Sensation XL, so I ordered a new screen (LCD and digitizer), which arrived today. I removed the old screen and replaced it with the new one and reassembled everything.
The problem arose when powering up the phone for the first time; there was no light from behind the screen. I disassembled the phone and plugged in the old screen, which, although the LCD was ruined, still produced light from behind the screen. Upon closer inspection, I can see that the original screen has three small clear plastic pieces protruding from the bottom of the LCD, and the new one doesn't have this. Is this indicative of the wrong screen model? As far as I can see, they are identical in all other respects.
Any assistance would be much appreciated
