Android Question

I have the Samsung Galaxy Aviator and when I push the lock screen button to turn the backlight off it goes off but a few seconds later it just turn right back on without hitting the button. This repeats over and over again and drains my battery very fast because the backlight won't stay off. It has been like this for months now and I am getting very annoyed by it. Is there anything I can do?

Hi

If you do

menu
settings
display
set screen timeout to say 15 seconds

does that make it go off and stay off? Then you could just use the button for turning it on and always let it turn itself off.

It seems that you have a faulty button that reconnects after a normal press.

There is an app "button savior" which can give you on screen buttons so you could turn the screen off without the physical button.

Hope this helps

Roger
