Help Backlight won't shut off during voice call

Hey all. Droid X running 2.3.3. Recent issue I've discovered. When making or receiving phone calls, I place the phone up to my ear and the light sensor won't activate and shut off the display. I haven't installed any wonky apps. Did a soft reset, with facebook as the only other app running (aside from the basic Droid stuff) and it still has the issue.

Just a factory restore? sigh... all my lovely apps. Plus, I seem to have forgotten my back-up assistant pin. I knew it just wasn't my day.

I'm not rooted or anything. Just stock.

I hate backup assistant. If I were you I'd export your contacts to your memory card(which can be done from the main contacts screen by hitting menu>export contacts) this way you never have to worry about pins or some system working correctly.
