does anyone know how to type the backtick symbol on the droid? the symbol looks like this ` and is usually located on the same key as the tilde on US keyboards.

on the keyboard, type alt, then shift, then L. you can also type alt, then shift, then Q; this method will allow you to type another letter (such as O) immediately after and get a grave accent on that letter (

it is used a lot in scripting. i sometimes use it in passwords since it is a forgotten character.

You may already know this, but the HTC keyboard lacks ALT key. I found another keyboard that has the ALT key: ThickButtons and others listed at:
