I have had problems with Backup assistant since I got my X back in August. The problem I was having was when I would sync my contacts some of the names didn't have phone numbers attached. I tried calling Verizon, they couldn't figure it out. One of the tech's told me a way to import/export my contacts without BA. I was ok with that. Well today I went all OCD mode trying to figure out what the crap was going on. I noticed that the names without numbers were the ones I contacted most. I finally put two and two together and realized that BA only syncs numbers that are labeled as a phone i.e. mobile, home...I had switched that to "Custom" for aesthetics reasons (I like the name to pop up and not the word "Mobile") Anywho, if you switch it back to home, work or mobile, everything syncs just fine. Just thought I'd share this tidbit of info for anyone else who is going through the same thing
