Help backup contacts to google?

Maybe I am missing something basic, but how do I backup all my contacts to google?

Im rooted on M080 but I don't think that makes any difference.

Edit: I see most of my contacts on google, but I think ones I have added since getting the commando are not backed up.

it should backup contacts automaticly to Google. Unless you have the auto sync feature off.
Settings=>Accounts and Sync=>turn on both settings.
Click on "yourUserName@gmail.com"
Make sure that "Sync contacts" feature is turned on.
