First off, I have screwed with this phone from one end to another, screwed it up, zeroed out my ESN, changed carriers, even had an international and LG mms service. One thing I know is true, get QPST, QXDM, CDMA Workshop, and back up the following: ALL NV settings, Nam1, Nam2, Security Settings, Phonebook, SPC, kitchen sink, and everything you cant hold down. Back it all up 3-10 times, then make sure you have a good backout procedure if you really screw things up, I have restored from a zeroed out ESN state ONLY because I made solid .qcn file backups, before you dabble there is one true-ism about things... there is two types of data, data you backup, and data you lose, be in the former catagory, follow directions posted here to the letter from Andy, teamchickeneaters, and the countless others who have messed with this phone, oh, and May The Force Be With You ...
