Backup/Rip DVD app for Android?

Does it exist? Got the idea that connecting it via OTG USB could work.

I honestly don't think it will work, the data stream / transfer will not be fast enough for the burner to utilize on a micro USB connection

Also there is copy protection embedded in the DVD that the app would need to have in order to make an image file which falls under pirating

There is a Samsung optical drive that will play dvd on Android... But you can't use it to rip them.


If you want to rip the discs youll need a PC, and then you could transfer the ripped files to your Android

The Samsung one streams wirelessly... But you'd need to power it externally.


USB otg doesn't help here
