Root Backup to PC using Helium

Nexus 7 w/SmoothRom 5.1. I want to backup some apps w/data before upgrading to 5.2. Reading the description of Helium I should be able to do to my PC. When I enter the URL in my browser it always says can not connect. Help

I've only ever used it once, but I downloaded the Play app, downloaded the app from the above site, ran the app with the phone connected to the PC and that was that.

You could try something like Titanium Backup instead? If you're already rooted, you don't need a PC for that to work properly.
