For pictures I use Dropbox, which automatically uploads all photos you took and for contacts I use google. I don't back up music, but you can also upload them to MEGA manually.
Yes and don't forget your sms backup if you need to keep them. There are apps such as smsbackup in playstore which can create backups. Google does not store smses. The main thing is to store your backups off the phone.
