Just started not working. Have started in safe mode, same problem. Downloaded another camera, doesn't work either. Have found a few others with the problem, they did factory resets to no avail. Don't want to go that route. Any ideas? My apologies if this was already addressed, I looked for it, but didn't find it.

Help Backward facing camera not working

If it is hardware the last thing you will do before turning it in on the replacement is a Factory Data Reset.
You may do that and find that it is all of a sudden working (I went that route wit the three buttons at the bottom of the display ... did a Factory data Reset and they started working and continued ever since.)
Wipe Cache Partition ... still a problem ...
Run in Safe Mode ... still a problem ...
Factory data Reset ... still a problem ...
Hardware ... replace it.
