Bad apps.

After my HTC Desire Z goes to sleep I have to pull the battery to restart it as the power button won't do it, it happens almost daily. I have the Gingerbread update and it was OK for three weeks after the download but has started again.I am now running the phone in safe mode and the problem hasn't reoccurred which tells me it is one of the apps that is doing it.Is there a list of troublesome apps or does anyone have a suggestion on how to detect the alleged bad one?

Well, the first thing I would try would be to post the same question in the Desire Z forums to see if any other users of your hardware have encountered the same problem. In a worst case scenario, you can do a factory reset to wipe EVERYTHING from your device, and reload them one a time to see which install causes the behavior to resume.
