So I sent in my Prevail for work done to it. Samsung got it and is mailing it back. This is what they found.
Original Problem:
TECHNICAL INQUIRY - POWER - WILL NOT POWER UP
Problem found:
BAD BGA COMPONENT - LCD BLANK/SEG. MISSING/LINES - TOUCHPAD FAILURE
Solution:
REPLACED PBA - REPLACED LCD - REPLACED TOUCHPANEL
My question is, can I get it under warranty from Boost now that it is "refurbished"? Another thing. Is it because I rooted it? I googled and came up with the pcb is/was bad and they replaced it. The rest means that the phone was dying and they replaced it. I hope that means that the screen is "new".
