I am looking at a really clean og evo with a bad esn 40$. I won't use it as a phone just a PDA media player but I'm wondering if it will come back to bite me later this will never be connected to a cell service. I was wondering also what causes a bad esn? Could this be a stolen phone?

if the esn is bad, most likely the device was stolen or has an unpaid bill attached to it. either way its not a device recommended in purchasing.

this site also does not allow the discussion of devices with bad/flagged esn's. if you need any more information, reach out to the carrier that the device is attached to and get more information from them.
