Help Bad ESN - Playstore and Application Functionality?

Hey guys - Looking at buying a bad ESN Note 2 to use as with the Gopro using the GoPro application. I do NOT need it to work as a phone - just over wifi.

Will a BAD ESN Note 2 work for this purpose? I'm guessing the note 2 should still work as a tablet but wanted to make sure - will I be able to download apps from the Play Store and run them with a bad ESN?

U can always download xposed framework and use xprivacy to send a good esn to play when play permission requests it.
