Lurker
Ok so i had my headphones that i used and they worked fine, until once they started to sound very bad and i noticed that when i move cable near jack i can it to work good for a few seconds. So i try them on my pc and they work fine no problems at all, then i took different headphones and they worked for day or two and same thing happened again... Sometimes my phone doesnt detect headphones at all. So i want to ask you guys if there is fix for that or i need to replace my headphone jack if that is possible. I tried cleaning it with qtips but it didnt help.

Sounds like a bad connection in the headphone jack. How handy are you with electronics and fine soldering? Otherwise it's professional repair required, either manufacturer or competent service tech.

What phone do you have? If it is the headphone jack, it will require opening up the case and possibly having to remove a lot of the internal components. Typically a smartphone headphone jack is soldered to the motherboard.

Hopefully he has a Samsung. Based on experience those two manufacturers use a 3.5mm jack + earpiece assembly that is just snapped on to terminals on a motherboard. Repair just takes opening it up and replacing the piece (of course this is still dependend on exact model) as this pertains to the s3 and s4 generation of models. But AFAIK they didn't change. Haven't looked at the s6 and s7 teardowns yet.

AFAIK HTC also did it this way with the m8 and m9 if I'm not mistaken.
