BAD ROOT!! htc sensation please help

i rooted my htc sensation a week ago and it was all good. but two days ago my phone shut off and now it wouldnt turn back on it gets stuck on the t-mobile screen and stays there. i have to pull the battery out.

bootloader and clockwork work fine. ive restore factory settings a few times and it was no good. with clockwork i backed up everything and flashed a new rom. i think i did it right, and that didnt work either. when that didnt work i restored the original rom that i backed up.

im out of ideas please help im still new at this and i think i bit off more than i could chew so please talk slow xD

It's not a "bad root," it's failure to follow directions. Wipe data/Factory reset, wipe cache, wipe davlik cache before EVERY install. Be sure you read the directions before you try this. Being new is no reason to be uninformed. It's reason to learn what to do.

how did you root? if you are only htcdev unlocked,there are limitations that will prevent you from EVER succsessfully flashing from a permantly installed recovery. this link may help: http://androidforums.com/rezound-all-things-root/587430-s-want-flash-roms-read.html

if youre s-on,i would recomend using those directions to fastboot boot your recovery into phone memory,then try and restore your backup. if that fails,you may need to relock and run the ruu for your current OS build.

Shipped ROMs is a .zip file you can place on your sd,rename PG58IMG and flash in hboot

if your s-off,you can simply restore the backup. if that fails,just run the above ruu.

wether your s-on or off,make sure you are doind a full wipe as mentioned above when flashing a new rom,or restoring a backup:
-wipe data/factory reset
-wipe cache
-wipe dalvik cache

hate to say it,but if your phone did turn off randomly,and not as a reaction to an attempt by you to modify it,it is likely some sort of hardware failure.

scotty your the best!! this has been really helpful i tried fastbooting into recovery and from there tried to restore my backup, but that didnt work.
when i place the ruu .zip file in my sd card should i flash it in hboot or in fastboot??
my phone is s-on

files are flashed from the sd card in hboot. if your phone is htcdev unlocked,you will need to relock before running the ruu .zip file.

relock is done by: phone in fastboot,enter in cmd: fastboot oem lock wich will change your unlocked to relocked,and also possibly a security warning you will be stuck in bootloader until either:
1)the ruu works and the phone boots
or
2)you re-unlock with your original token

hopefully that gets you up and running
