Anyone know of an app that gives you notification of unread messages as on I phones?

Nova Prime (the version that unlocks extra nova launcher features is on sale at the moment...btw I bought it at full price and its well worth the money)

Ok.. haven't looked at the settings for a long time.... but the answer is yes it does. (and a lot of other stuff as well)

Nova launcher prime + Tesla unread has been working fine for years for all calls, texts, emails, and Facebook notifications.
I highly recommend it

I've installed nova prime and Tesla unread, so far so good, will notification sounds I'd previously set up still work?

I remember after the Oreo update, Tesla wasn't working but I never followed up because I didn't use Nova anymore w/my newer phones

Tesla was the gold standard for 3rd party badges. I wonder what happened

Doesn't seem to be the teala intergration in nova anymore... But im using the beta of nova and i do have a set of options there

i followed the instructions to get the beta but either i did something wrong or i am waiting on something else to happen... could be either one. a bit unclear what's happening... but i am hopeful.

Hmm... So normally i have it set with a dot... Today i turned the numbers on... The numbers don't seem to work correctly...

Interesting. Tesla Unread is working for me with Nova and Oreo (8.0 on an LG G6)

Numbers working fine for me (Nova beta & TeslaUnread). And Tesla is working because if I untick apps in it the counter disappears.

i haven't been able to get the beta of Nova yet. i clicked on all the "join" and "accept" stuff to get the beta, but didn't find anywhere to download it - checked the store, rebooted, etc., and nothing triggered an install. so where the heck do i get the beta?

well, the universe has replied. the beta is now available to me via the play store.

mmmm.... appears to only work with un-dismissed notifications, unlike "unread" which remained as a badge even with notifications dismissed. i sort of hate undismissed notifications, but i guess i will sort of have to get used to them.

It depends on the app. For some apps it can show the badges even with notifications dismissed (e.g. right now my email app has a number "3" on it, which is the correct unread count, but there are no undismissed notifications from it). For others that TeslaUnread doesn't integrate with it will try to work it out from the notifications.
