Help Badge counters

It depends on the app. For some apps it can show the badges even with notifications dismissed (e.g. right now my email app has a number '3' on it, which is the correct unread count, but there are no undismissed notifications from it). For others that TeslaUnread doesn't integrate with it will try to work it out from the notifications.

Which email app are you using? I am using the Samsung native email on a Galaxy S8 and having the opposite experience, that is, the badge disappears when I dismiss notifications.

I'm using Nine at the moment, but it used to be the same with previous apps.

I never use native email apps, and don't have a recent Samsung (my Note 10.1 is on 5.1) so can't test with that app.
