I'd like a little less flour on the top but took the cautious route because it was a new basket. Next time, less!
 
First time making bagels in a few years. Not overly impressed with the volume I got, but knew the dough was a little sluggish and wet yesterday when I mixed it. Still, not bad. Should be cool in a little bit and cream cheese is ready! :)

 
A very straight forward bread to make at home, bagels!
In DC, we have very few options for anything decent, but it's something that you can make at home very easily. I've found, also, you can make a dozen or so of bagel doughs, freeze them, and bake them when needed. We're fans of "everything" bagels. Here's a couple of the last batch (dough mixed over a week ago):
