plz suggest some solution.

If this app uses some web services, you should make sure your connection to internet works fine. In addition, you maybe need to contact with customer service of the bank to verify their server be fine.

S not Barclay's it's huawei..... they updated both my phone's yesterday and I am getting the same shit on both phones, my Barclay's app opens but instantly closed its self, I contacted Barclay's and they confirmed its the muppets at huawei.... 3 ****ing weeks and still no update to fix it

What models and versions are the Huawei phones? Huawei is in China, no Barclays Bank here, so could be unless someone actually informs them, it's quite possible nothing will be done.

"um....well..it works with Bank of China app."

if any one has some solution please suggest.

Thing is Huawei, like many China phones uses a heavily modified and customized version of Android, Huawei calls their EMUI or Emotion OS, Based on Android™. They might have tested it with Bank of China, Bank of Beijing, Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of Communications, maybe even HSBC(Hongkong Shanghai Bank Corporation) etc. apps. But there's something they've apparently done, that the Barclays Bank app doesn't like. And presumably the Barclays app works perfectly on a Samsung, HTC, Moto, Nexus, etc.

A fix would be for the moment, is to roll the phone back to an older version of Huawei EMUI firmware that does work. How you do that with this particular Huawei, I don't know.

i did not upgrade any OS or firmware then what do i roll back ?

So it used to work and now it's broken, in that case if the phone's firmware hasn't changed, and not updated, it's very likely the Barclays app has changed, updated, and they're blaming Huawei for it. You could try the version here...

That site is safe and very useful repo of Android apps, especially older versions. Because newer is NOT always better. :thumbsupdroid:

i rooted my phone to increase internal storage of my phone with link2SD .
Will it be safe to install app via link u sent in a rooted phone ( because rooted phones are bit vulnerable ).

thanks

Think that's your answer, it won't run on a rooted device. As @psionandy stated many banking and financial apps won't run like that. The firmware must be manufacturer stock, unrooted and unmodified. The APK I posted very likely won't run either. Rooted devices can be vulnerable yes, because you can hide a keylogger and other nasties on them, that can steal your account numbers, passwords, etc. Although presumably Barclays like other banks, should be using two-factor authentication these days, like login with SMS or security token or something, in addition to password.

I have recently (2 weeks ago) spoken to Barclays and they say they are working on a fix. But if you check how long they took to fix the LG G5... please don't anyone hold their breath. Huawei Mate 9 here and EMUI updated this morning and still Barclays App does not work neither does Pingit

Here we are a month later and it's still not working. I guess there are not enough Huawei phone users in the UK for Barclays to be worried about...

More likely to be Barclay's problem than Huawei. I suspect the bank has a whitelist of devices, things like popular Samsungs, LGs, HTCs, Motos, Apple, etc. and if the phone isn't one of those, it's not supported and won't work.

Is a Huawei Mate 9 even sold in the UK, or it's imported? Where did you buy it?

@Marvin Domin It is a Banking App not a game.

@mikedt It was not imported I got it from 3 a major UK mobile phone Company. The have been offering Huawei phones now for a couple of years. This is squarely in Barclays court and it's very frustrating.

I don't think that's the problem here guys. I have the good Mate 9 and all other UK bank apps work except for Barclays Bank. I even have the RBS, Lloyd's etc. Let's not loose sight that it's the Bank that creates it's apps to work with the existing phones. Surely Barclays could have updated it's App in line with other banks.

I too am having this problem on an HONOR 8 and it's been quite a while since it started.

I just called the Barclays mobile banking team... they are 'aware' of the issue and working on it, but no timescale given for a fix. So I don't hold out much hope.

Good News. An update that came in today 07/07/2017 has finally cracked it. I can now use Barclays mobile banking on my Huawei Mate 9. My personal campaign on Twitter can now stop. Shame they didn't fix Pingit at the same time.

I had some trouble with my tablet Huawei Honor when it upgraded to Android 6.0, Huawei managed to stop the .sdk from installing.

The bank might want to check the compile- and target-version. My tablet Honor uses the latest Android 6.0
Hope that helps
