Root barnacle working again?

i guess so because that is how i'm connected to the internet... i'm on cm7 nightly 96... just got a hair up my ass as my wife is the one with the dx but i'm the one who has been modding it and whatnot and i got tired of being tethered by the usb and then hearing in my ear that she wants her phone back for this/that blah blah blah...

and after messing with the settings a bit (not sure how the changes i made actually CHANGED anything) but here i am connected w/ my linux desktop... connection isn't as stable or quick as my easytether connection but hey, i can still use the internet for the most part....

last time i tried barnacle a bunch of verizon crap tried to take over, but i was on the liberty rom at the time and i guess cm7 got rid of whatever...

hope this maybe helps others out as well
 
I used it on miui when it was on froyo kernel, haven't tried it since on the gingerbread kernel. Which version of miui are you on greenless?
 
Just tried WIFI Tether (wireless tether) and works on both desktop and laptop. Im currently on MIUI GB kernel and works without a hick-up. :cool: Im keeping my eye on the speed that its downloading a video that im watching and speeds are steady from 1.1-1.4 megs. Im a very happy camper right now.
 
Is anyone else having this issue. I did the procedures described in this thread ( http://androidforums.com/droid-x-al...ad-602-sbf-root-process-updated-9-9-11-a.html ) and when I start Barnacle Wifi Tether I keep getting this

DHCP: Could not bind to DHCP port: Address already in use
followed by
NAT: restart: Network is down.

Can anyone help with this. I did the steps indicated word for word... but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get this to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
