Basic Android Backup Questions- G Cloud

I use G Cloud.
Recently I lost all my photos and videos on a Motorola Droid Razr. They are all properly backed up.
Q: If I restore them, will they still be backed up? I worry that I might lose them again locally and there will no longer be a backup.

as long as you don't remove the backups from the cloud they should remain their just like they do locally.

Thanks but I'm not sure you understand my question. I would like to restore the images/photos from the cloud to the microSD card on my phone. Would this be like a copy/paste or a cut/paste? In other words does a restore delete the cloud images or leave them there? I do not want them to be deleted from the cloud when I restore to my phone.

It leaves the files in the cloud and the restored files are a copy.
