Wife currently has a Galaxy S3 on Verizon. Thinking about getting her an S5 (has fingerprint login and last model to retain both removable battery and auxiliary SD card), as a birthday surprise.
So a couple of newbie type questions:
1) I see both S3 and S5 are listed as using micro Sim cards. Does this mean that all I'd need to do to transfer phone account from S3 to S5 is to move the Sim card from old phone to new phone? Is any additional registration with Verizon required?
2) Would like to have the new one all set up with her apps, etc, before transferring account and giving it to her. Is it possible to do this via WiFi without an active carrier account?
