Basic question for Android phones

Do andorid phones runn better on one carrier as opposed to another. Forgetting about reception, since each carrier has its own bloatware they install would something the galaxy 4 (for example) run better (smoother or even battery life) on Att instead of verizon or tmobile for example. Thanks

There would most likely not be a noticable difference in performance on the same phone from one carrier to next as the primary components and software (CPU,OS etc.) Are all there and the same. Unless of course there was a specific case in which a slcertain carrier had s special edition of a phone which was maybe clocked higher or something else relating to performance. Battery life is a factor (not largely) if the certain carrier had a mis behaving application (or non misbehaving) which ran in the background and was very recource heavy could have a impact on battery life although I dont think you'll find that to be the case among said carriers.

I think that's a great, and difficult to answer accurately, question.

You'll find the "flagship" devices put forth by each carrier to be most often thought of as "their" best device, and that is a moving target. Just think back to AT&T's exclusive deal with Apple's iPhone a while back. They flew off the shelf.

But did they run better? Well, not being Androids I don't know because I use Androids. :D

Boatware is across every carrier that I know of, thus the popularity of rooting Android devices: to get rid of the freak bloatware. :D

Anyway, my take on it is that T-Mobile is the worst and Verizon is the best for Android, with Sprint a very close second best. AT&T seems to be right along with T-Mobile as far as I can see, and we'll hear vehement opinion and experiences in disagreement and agreement on all this. ;)
