Okay, this forum is for advanced users, but I'm a "newbie" to this Droid thing, and I'm having all kinds of problems getting started.

The Samsung users manual isn't much help. The tutorials are for a different phone entirely.

I guess since Virgin Mobile is into us (two phones) for $250 now, spending another $25 on "Droid for Dummies" would be a sound investment. But is there any place on line that shows how everything (texting, downloading aps--and where to find the darned things--, email....) is done STEP by STEP?

What device do you have? If you have the Samsung Intrepid like your profile says, then that's not an Android phone. That's a Windows phone.

I myself know nothing about Windows phone as I've never touched one so perhaps you should google for help for a Windows phone, as I doubt many here will have experience with a Windows phone, being that this is an Android forum.

Welcome to Android Forums, you are in exactly the right place.:) Everyone here was new to it at some time and we learned from everyone else. You may want to check in with your phone's forum here for information specific to your phone. For general questions, start here, you may be pointed to other forums or threads for more in depth discussions or where someone has answered a question more eloquently than I can.

AF will save you $25 and I guarantee you will meet some great folks:).
