batery life....

Hi, i bought galaxy s2 few days ago, but the batterry is really bad, i try everything, the cpu says that the screen is eating more than 50% of the battery, what i can do?

some people say that is because i
have andtoid 2.3.3 hiw.i can upgrade? i have a mac.

well, the screen is always gonna be one of ur highest battery drains :D no matter wat firmware u run. im on 2.3.5 and i still find display and android OS to be my highest drain. if u use the screen a lot (if the screen is on :D) its gonna be right up there.. although 50% is pretty high to be honest. u can upgrade ur firmware, im not sure about on a mac, but maybe u can borrow a friends windows machine for an hour? :D its worth it, the battery life almost doubled on mine, when i went from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4
